荆三隆 邵之茜合著的《法句譬喻经注译与辨析》一书，2013年5月由中国社会科学出版社出版发行，全书30万3千字。
《法句譬喻经》是汉译佛教文学中的短篇小说集。其中的故事大多立意鲜明，构思巧妙，并调动了想象、夸张、渲染、拟人等多种文学手法。尤其是精彩纷呈的连喻叠比，深入浅出且生动形象地阐述了深奥的佛教义理。经典的三十九个主题虽各自独立，但又相互呼应，将佛教思想及其基本教义较为完整统一地呈现出来。另外，叙述和说理结合，韵文和散文互补的表达方式，也使得本经独具风貌。细细阅读，余味隽永；反复吟咏，福德无量。

Dharmapadavadana
Sutra is the first real collection of short stories among Chinese translated
versions of Buddhism literature. The stories have clear themes and are
skillfully designed. Rich literary rhetoric, including imagination,
exaggeration, creating sensation and atmosphere, personification, were applied
in the depiction of characters and the design of plots. The ingenious metaphors,
in particular, send the messages in a vivid manner, making the sophisticate
Buddhism thoughts easily understood. The 39 topics in the Sutra, independent in
forms and correlated in contents, almost convey the complete Buddhism teachings
systematically. In addition, the combination of narration and argumentation,
poetic lines and prose makes this sutra special as well. A close read of it
will lead to profound memories and thoughts. Reading it over will bring
everlasting blessings.
