Parables Sutra
Abstract

parables extracted from Āgama Sutra in Tripitaka. The six parables tells the Buddhist teachings
about getting out of the sea of sufferings and surviving the destined calamities
of life from six aspects respectively, namely Water, Arrows, Ants, Human,
Horses and the Moon. These parables, containing carefully-designed similes, are
constructed in a way which exceeds the readers’ expectations. They are simple
